Shirakawa Samidori Matcha
A single-cultivar matcha cultivated in Shirakawa, Uji, and produced by the Tsuji family. Samidori offers rich umami, elegant sweetness, and a full-bodied character. Deeper and richer than our Asahi, it balances a smooth texture with subtle astringency and a long, lingering finish.
First-flush leaves are shaded beneath a traditional double-layer canopy for approximately 30–40 days, picked by hand, and slowly ground using stone mills.
